If you're looking to survive the higher rounds on IX, unlocking Pack-a-Punch should be your first priority. Unlike some Zombies maps, there is no power switch to activate. Instead, you'll need to defeat four Champions and offer their heads to the gods.
Open the Four God Temples
From the starting Arena, begin opening the map until you have access to all four temple towers:
- Ra Temple
- Danu Temple
- Odin Temple
- Zeus Temple
Each temple contains:
- A perk altar
- A large gong
- A Champion that can be summoned
You can complete these in any order, but Ra and Danu are usually the quickest to reach first.
Ring the Gong
At the top of each temple, interact with the large gong.

This summons that temple's Champion somewhere nearby. Depending on the temple, you'll fight one of several powerful enemies, including Gladiators, Brawlers or Tigers.

These enemies are much tougher than normal zombies, so it's worth saving a powerful weapon or using your Specialist Weapon if you're struggling.
Kill the Champion
Defeat the Champion that spawned. Once it dies, it will drop a glowing Champion Head.

Walk over it to automatically collect it.
Repeat this process at all four temples until you've collected all four Champion Heads.
Head Underground
With all four heads collected, make your way into the underground Crypts.
You can access the underground from any of the temple towers.
Continue through the Crypts until you reach The Temple, a large circular room with a stone pillar in the centre.

Offer the Four Heads
Around the central pillar are four stone spikes.

Interact with each spike to place the Champion Heads.

Once all four have been placed:
- The pillar will begin to glow.
- The stone structure transforms.
- The Pack-a-Punch machine rises from the centre of the room.
Congratulations! Pack-a-Punch is now permanently unlocked for the rest of the match

Pack-a-Punch Costs
- First Pack-a-Punch: 5,000 points
- Re-Pack: 2,500 points
Re-Packing adds an alternate ammo type while keeping your weapon upgraded.
